Texas Hot Peanut Dressing

Texas Hot Peanut Dressing is a good option for a protein packed dressing for your salad!

Spicy & Packed with Protein

Yes, I added a bit of honey to Texas Hot Peanut Dressing, just to round out the flavor. But if you are on a ketogenic, low sugar, or low carb diet, you can omit the honey. Compared to the original nutrition information listed below, a honey-free version of Texas Hot Peanut Dressing contains 3.8g of carbohydrates and 1.7 grams of sugar. One serving equals almost 3 tablespoons (45ml) so that is a lot of flavor for only a few carbs! And of course, you can omit the salt and soy sauce if you are watching your sodium intake. This recipe is very customizable for every diet!

Another trick to further lower the calories in this Texas Hot Peanut Dressing is to add more water. The mixture tends to thicken, so the water helps to make the dressing more pourable. Add 1/4 cup water (60ml) at a time until you reach the desired consistency.

How to Serve Texas Hot Peanut Dressing

Grill a few chicken tenders and serve Texas Hot Peanut Dressing alongside them, along with plenty of chopped cabbage, red peppers tomatoes, shallots and sliced cucumbers. I garnished with chopped cilantro and lime wedges for a hot and tangy salad that really fills you up.

Salad with dressing – so much better!

Once you make your dressing, store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator. I am planning to make grilled steak and grilled shrimp salads similar to the chicken salad I am serving in this recipe.

Try Texas Hot Peanut dressing with wings, ribs or meatballs if you are on a ketogenic diet. You can also enjoy cauliflower bites, cucumber spears, celery sticks or lettuce wraps dipped in this protein packed dressing. For a special treat, make your own peanut butter to add to this dressing…I did, and I will share that recipe soon! Super fresh peanut flavor!
